According to the Literacy Trust’s Annual Literacy Survey in 2021, of the children who were surveyed, nearly 1 in 10 said they did not have a book of their own.

Here at Big Thinkers we want to give everyone the chance to read. We work hard to share the gift of books and reading across our community.

We therefore make this promise:

For every 9 books we sell as part of our book boxes, we will give a brand new book to a child who does not have a book of their own.
